The kingfisher hide has space for two photographers during each session. If you would like to bring a guest or secure exclusive use of the hide, please book Kingfisher hide for two after you have selected your date.
There is a possibility that you may be joined by one other photographer if you book one space.
Kingfisher Activity Update
Following a typical mid-summer intermission while completing his post-breeding moult, I am absolutely delighted to say our resident adult male kingfisher has officially reclaimed the reflection pool setup.
With the Kingfisher spending up to 30 minutes at a time working the hide setup. He is currently focusing heavily on territory maintenance—actively utilizing our new wildlife pond and the reflection pool to vocalise his territory calls and to warn off wandering autumn rivals.
Our latest trail camera data confirms he has now automated a most days early morning inventory patrol directly over the pool. While he is currently monitoring the sticklebacks he has recently executed his first test dives into the reflection pool. As water temperatures drop heading into September, his feeding frequency is tracking to accelerate into a highly predictable, high-frequency daily fishing routine.

To give the Kingfisher maximum human-free privacy to fully lock in his daily fishing routine, we are managing general bookings carefully over September. Slots are currently running limited for single photographers and select small groups to ensure the highest probability of success.
Please note: While activity is increasing daily and recent sessions have produced exceptional portfolio frames, these are wild birds and sightings/specific hunting behaviours cannot be 100% guaranteed.
